Membership Status
Requirements |
| 1. |
Membership is on an
individual basis, not by agency. |
| 2. |
Member status
requires the individual applicant must be professional
manufacturers' agent/representative |
| 3. |
Qualified
Manufacturers' Representatives for Member status
requires that applicants be principals (sole
owners, partners or corporate officers) of
manufacturers' agencies which are further defined as
being independent contractors paying their own business
expenses and being compensated for their efforts by
commissions based on sales. A person who performs all
the duties of a Manufacturers' Representative for a rep.
agency but is not an owner, partner or a corporate
officer of any agency may apply for Member status. If
this person changes employment he or she shall be
required to reapply and meet the Member requirements to
maintain Member status. |
| 4. |
Qualified Manufacturers' Representatives
for Member status will have an office within the State of Wisconsin.
They must represent a minimum of two principals. They must uphold
high moral, ethical and business standards |
| 5. |
Members in
good standing have voting privileges and can hold office
and/or be members of a policy-making committee in WAMA. |
| 6. |
A one-time
membership fee of $75.00 must accompany the application form. If
your application is not accepted, the membership fee
will be refunded in full. |
| 7. |
Dues
include the cost of monthly luncheon meetings. Initial
or first year dues are pro-rated on a quarterly basis as
to the time the application is approved. After that, the
dues are annual. |
| 8. |
Members will appear in the WAMA
Membership Database and may
participate in any of the group or discount programs
offered by WAMA. |

Senior
Member Status Requirements |
| 1. |
Must have been a member of WAMA for the 10 years. |
| 2. |
Have reached the age of 65. Age requirement and
length of time in WAMA may be waived by a majority
vote of the Board. |
| 3. |
No longer employed
as a Manufacturers' Representative |
| 4. |
Requests for Senior Membership must be in
writing, stating the year you joined WAMA and your
age. Send letter to Board of Directors at the WAMA
address. |
| 5. |
Senior Membership
Dues do not include monthly luncheon meetings. Senior Members pay
for each luncheon or event they attend. |
| 6. |
All group and discount programs are available to
senior members. All insurance plans are available to
senior members (subject to insurance carrier
restrictions). |
| 7. |
In your request, please advise what address you
want newsletters, notices, etc. sent to if it is a
change from the agency address currently used. |
| 8. |
Senior Members
continue to be listed in WAMA Membership Database and receive monthly newsletters. |
| 9. |
Senior Members do not have voting privileges and
cannot hold office of a policy-making committee in
WAMA. |

Associate Member Status Requirements |
| 1. |
There must first be a Member or Senior Member of
WAMA from the agency and that Member or Senior Member
must act as the sponsor for the associate member
applicant. |
| 2. |
Applicant must be an active participating officer
or employee of the agency. Associate membership ends
if that person leaves or is no longer part of the
sponsoring agency. |
| 3. |
Associate membership is on an individual basis
and is non-transferable. |
| 4. |
Associate Member Dues do not include monthly luncheon
meetings. Associate Members pay for each luncheon
or event they attend. |
| 5. |
Initial or first year dues are pro-rated on a
quarterly
basis as to the time application is accepted and is
billed to agency. After that, the dues are annual. |
| 6. |
All group and discount programs are available to
Associate members. All insurance plans are available
to Associate Members (subject to agency participation).

| 7. |
Associate Members

newsletters. |
| 8. |
Associate Members do not have voting privileges

Corporate Member Status Requirement |
| 1. |
Applicant for Corporate Membership is defined as
active corporations or business entities interested
in supporting the efforts of WAMA. |
| 2. |
Applicant must be in good standing in their respective
states, and must uphold high moral, ethical and business
standards. |
| 3. |
Corporate Members do not have voting privileges
and cannot hold office or be members of a policy making
committee in WAMA. |
| 4. |
Corporate Members
will be listed in WAMA Membership Database and receive the monthly
newsletter. |
| 5. |
Dues for new Corporate Members shall be pro-rated
on a quarterly basis the initial year and billed
annually thereafter. Dues include the cost of one
person per luncheon meetings. |
